1861 Canadian census lists Peter and Esther living with Joseph, son, Ellis, son, and Christien, dau along with Peter's brothers- Calvin, Jr and Alvin Hill per Cathy Crawford
Since Peter is noted as being a widower soon after arriving in Manitoba, it appears likely that Esther died while the family still lived in Ontario.
