She survived until 1059 at least and acted as regent for her son Ermengol III. She may have been the homonymous daughter of Count Bernard I of Besalu and Countess Tota-Adelaide, named in her father's will in October 1021.

Constança married Ermengol (Armengol) II the Pilgrim Count of Urgell [64047] [MRIN: 551618808], son of Ermengol (Armengol) I Count of Urgell [7595] and Guisla (Gisela) [64054], before 24 Nov 1031. (Ermengol (Armengol) II the Pilgrim Count of Urgell [64047] was born in 1009 and died in 1038 in pilgrimage to Jerusalem.)
