Taken to Nova Scotia with his parents in 1759. Lived in Granville until 1801, when he moved to Bear River, in Clements, and lived there 37 years. His funeral was attended by the Rev. Ezekiel Masters, the sermon from Psalms 127:3,4 and 5.
