Reigned 924-940. This renowned prince, who by the splendid victory of
Brunanburgh crushed his enemies, and achieved the sovereignty of the whole
island, had the glory of establishing what has ever since been called the
kingdom of England.
Stammtafeln says he was also Archbishop of Canterbury.
