Engelger d'Anjou [3855]
Ingelger was a viscount who held territory around Orléans and Angers at the end of the 9th century . His son Fulk became the first count of Anjou . After Robert the Strong , he directed the resistance to the Norman invasions on the Loire . Through his descendant Geoffrey Plantagenet , father of Henry II of England , he is an ancestor to the present-day British royal family, including Elizabeth II , Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland , and her son, Prince Charles , Prince of Wales . Engelger married. |
