knighted 17 June 1497 at the battle of Blackheath, for his signal s ervices against the Cornish Rebels. He was also at Flodden. In 1537 he to ok part in the Lincolnshire commotion excited by Lord Hussey, was attaint ed (and executed at Hull being hanged in chains over Beverley gate at Hul l) and thereby forfeited Flamborough and 35 other manors in Lincolnshire.
