Ludim is the Hebrew term for Lydia used in Jeremiah and Ezekiel . In the Biblical Table of Nations they were said to descend from Lud , son of Shem , son of Noah . According to Josephus , their land was destroyed.
These Ludim should not be confused with another group also named Ludim who were descended from Mizraim . This is sometimes thought to be a typographic error for Lubim, in reference to Libyans .
