William Ashburnham, 2nd Baron Ashburnham was born on 21 May 1679.1 He was baptised on 22 May 1679 at St. Martin's-in-the-Fields, London, England .1 He was the son of John Ashburnham, 1st Baron Ashburnham and Bridget Vaughan .1 He married Catharine Taylor , daughter of Thomas Taylor and Ursula (?) , on 16 October 1705.1 He died on 16 June 1710 at age 31 at Ashburnham, Sussex, England <pd225.htm>, from smallpox, without issue.1 He was buried at Ashburnham, Sussex, England .1 William Ashburnham, 2nd Baron Ashburnham held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Hastings between 1702 and 1710.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Ashburnham, of Ashburnham, Sussex [E., 1689] on 21 January 1709/10.1
