He succeeded to the title of 4th Lord Abergavenny in 1535. He held the office of Chief Larderer at the coronation of Queen Mary <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/aboutMary.htm> in 1553. He was invested as a Knight of the Bath on 29 Sep 1553.
