Ewyn held a dozen Manors, including Bothal, W(h)arton & Hepple. His wife's family, the Hiltons, predated the Norman Conquest at Hilton, England {-see "Ogle and Bothal," H.A.Ogle, p.53}. Wurts' "Magna Charta, Part VIII", p. 2627, states that he fought in the Battle of Stoke on behalf of the King against the Earl of Lincoln.
Owen married Eleanor Hilton Baroness Ogle [41973] [MRIN: 551609147], daughter of William Hilton Baron of Hilton [60207] and Mary Stapleton [60208], on 26 May 1467. (Eleanor Hilton Baroness Ogle [41973] was born about 1450 in Hilton, Durham, Great Britain and died after 1 Jul 1513.)
