Mabee, of Middleton, who was taken ill on Thursday night of last week, with an attack of inflamation of the bowels, and in spite of all that loving hands and medical skills could do, died at the residence of Mrs. Van Norman , on Saturday evening, she not being able, after taking ill to be removed to her home. She was loved by all who knew her, and a great deal of sympathy is felt for the bereaved parents, whose cup of sorrow it seems has been filled to the brim, for of six children only one boy of about 18 years remains. A large concourse of people gathered at the house on Monday, and followed the remains to their last resting place, in the Goshen cemetery. On Monday, while Mr. And Mrs. Mabee, were in town, making preparations for the funeral of their daughter, a tenant house on his farm in Middleton, took fire and was burned to the ground. - Tilsonburg Liberal.
