Friday at home. She had been in ill health for several years.
She was born June 3, 1908, in Warsaw, as Pearl B. Mabie, she
married Paul F. Barker on March 28, 1926, in Edwardsburg. He
died Oct 6, 1976. Surviving are one daughter, Patrica, Auburn,
Pa.; one son, Howard R. Herald Sr., Elkhart; four sisters,
Bertha Atchison, of Warsaw, Hazel Hawkins and Rosetta Morrison,
both of Elkhart, and Dora LaGrass, Fort Wayne; five
grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one great great
grandchild. Two sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Friends May call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. today at the White
Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
The Rev. E.G. Goin, Kingdom Life Fellowship Church will
officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery. Memorials
may be made to the Elkhart County Cancer Society or Elkhart
Hospice Inc.
