poet, author of "The Aged Lover Renounceth Love" (pub 1557). Lic. to enter his mothers lands: Cal. of patent Rolls, Ph. and Mary 1555-1557, p.374; cf.p. 134 30 May 1557. Took his seat in Parliament BET 20 Jan 1557 and 1558. Committed by the Privy Council to the Fleet prison, and after in the Star Chamber <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Documents/the_court_of_star_chamber.htm> 15 Nov following for harbouring, Edmund Campion <http://www.tudorplace.com.ar/Bios/EdmundCampion.htm> and for contempt of court, was sentenced to imprisonment in the Fleet and a fime of £1000; 18 Aug 1581.
