Elizabeth died not long after her husband and it may be that she poisoned him (perhaps wanting a more productive relationship) and she was killed in revenge by his family or friends. Elizabeth was buried with her father, Phillip, in London although there is a memorial to Roger and herself at Bottesford.

Elizabeth married Roger Manners 5th Earl of Rutland [16724] [MRIN: 7959], son of John Manners 4th Earl of Rutland [3184] [KCH5-VVY] and Elizabeth Charlton Countess Rutland [16722], on 5 Mar 1597/98. (Roger Manners 5th Earl of Rutland [16724] was born on 6 Oct 1576, died on 26 Jun 1612 and was buried in St. Mary the Virgin Church, Bottesford, Leicesterhire, England ²⁵.)
