• Inherited: 2nd Countess of Norfolk, 1338. In 1338, Margaret inherited the Earldom of Norfolk when her father died, becoming the 2nd Countess of Norfolk. Along with this title came the office of Lord Marshal . To date, she is the only woman to have served in this position (or, as it was to be called in the future, Earl Marshal ).
Margaret married John de Segrave 4th Lord Segrave [11424] [MRIN: 5168], son of Stephen de Segrave 3rd Lord Segrave [11824] and Alice [11825], in 1337. (John de Segrave 4th Lord Segrave [11424] was born about 1306 in Norfolk, England and died in 1353 in Brotherton, Yorkshire, Great Britain.)
